The final, played in London on Saturday, got off to a blistering start when Alhassan Yusuf put Nigeria ahead in the 3rd minute, finishing off an early attack that stunned the Jamaican defence.
Nigeria maintained control of the game through strong midfield play and disciplined defending, limiting Jamaica’s chances while creating several opportunities of their own.
The Super Eagles doubled their advantage in the 59th minute when Terem Moffi scored to give Nigeria a comfortable lead and further tilt the match in their favour.
In the closing stages, Philip Otele put the result beyond doubt, scoring in the 90th minute to seal a convincing 3–0 victory for Nigeria.
According to a post obtained from the Super Eagles’ X handle on Saturday, the win confirms Nigeria as the most successful team in Unity Cup history, with four titles now to their name.
