The US has warned its citizens against traveling to Abuja over the high level of insecurity.
Glamtush reports that the United States on Sunday, October 23, issued a security advisory on insecurity in Nigeria.
According to the advisory, the US asked its citizens to avoid all non-essential travel or movement as a result of what it termed an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, especially Abuja.
The advisory, which is on the US Embassy website reads in part: ” Event: There is an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja. Targets may include, but are not limited to, government buildings, places of worship, schools, markets, shopping malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, athletic gatherings, transport terminals, law enforcement facilities, and international organizations. The U.S. Embassy will offer reduced services until further notice.
