Primate Ayodele is the prophet who foretold the beginning and end of the PDP G-5 governors.

When people disobey or disregard the words of a prophet, they are surely moving towards destruction because they will only move without directions.

This is the illustration that best describes the situation of the opposition party, People Democratic Party (PDP) at the moment.

PDP was in crisis immediately Abubakar Atiku emerged as the presidential candidate of the party. The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike began to lead a revolt against the presidential candidate and was later joined by four others. They call themselves the G-5 Governors or integrity group.

These five governors accused the PDP of not respecting the constitutional provisions for zoning within the PDP and presidency in Nigeria. They requested that if they must support Atiku, the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, who is a northerner must be removed and allow a southern person to become the national chairman of the party. The major bone of contention is that a northern candidate cannot emerge while the party still maintains a northern chairman, it’s disrespect to the south.

Ever since, the party has been unable to settle their differences and it’s been a war of words and name calling between the group, the party candidate and the national body of the party.

If only politicians ever listened to Primate Ayodele, they would have dodged this disaster before Iyorchia Ayu emerged as the party chairman. Primate Ayodele in his usual manner warned the PDP to be careful in choosing a national chairman, he mentioned some PDP chieftains that should be considered for the job of a national chairman if the party wants a good outing. The man of God didn’t mention Ayu at all.

These were his words, “PDP must not make any mistake. They need a serious, committed, and vibrant person that can give them victory in 2023.The party should choose between former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Markafi, and former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.” (https://dailypost.ng/2021/10/08/2023-primate-ayodele-tells-pdp-who-to-pick-as-national-chairman-for-guaranteed-victory/)

Again, when PDP picked Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman, Primate Ayodele spoke again and revealed beforehand that they will try to kick him out of the office just like his predecessor, Uche Secondus. He then mentioned that some governors will try to break the party. Let it be known that at the time Primate Ayodele said these words, the PDP wasn’t in crisis, they had just finished a seamless national convention so all was well with them.

These were Primate Ayodele’s words, “Some governors want to break the PDP, the party must be careful of the faction because it will lead the party to loss. There are cabals in the PDP too and they will lead the party to a crisis. The national chairman will want to make efforts but the cabals will frustrate him. They will blackmail him and want to reduce him to nothing as they did to Uche Secondus but in another dimension. They will not appreciate his efforts.’’ (https://dailypost.ng/2022/03/15/pdp-crisis-cabals-govs-will-blackmail-nat-chairman-ayu-break-party-primate-ayodele/)

Speaking in another interview shortly after he made the above statements, Primate Ayodele categorically mentioned that Governor Wike and three governors will work against Atiku and it will be a great tsunami in the party if care isn’t taken. This statement was made before the G-5 governors came on board but we can confirm now that Primate Ayodele got it right.

These were his words, “If Atiku doesn’t strategize well, he will be shocked in 2023 because some governors in PDP plan to dump and work against him in the presidential election. Governor Wike and three other governors will disappoint him if he is not careful. I see a great tsunami being planned against his ambition by these governors and the only way this can be averted is by intentionally settling the crisis’’ (https://www.kemifilani.ng/national/wike-three-pdp-govs-planning-great-tsunami-against-atiku-in-2023-primate-ayodele)

Since the G-5 governors emerged, Primate Ayodele has been warning them to fight with caution because they will break at some point. He warned them as he foretold confusion in their midst. More recently is a video recorded earlier this year where he warned them against some of their activities within the PDP.

“This G-5 Governors will break since God isn’t engaged with their activities. They are simply squandering individuals’ cash, their energy and their solidarity. I feel sorry for you, Seyi Makinde, and I feel sorry for you, Ikpeazu. This G5 thing can wreck Seyi Makinde on the grounds that individuals won’t confide in him once more. You better stop it now with the goal that your work won’t blow up on Seyi Makinde. This G-5 doesn’t fear God. They know nothing about God because they cannot see beyond their nose.” (https://theeagleonline.com.ng/video-emerges-of-primate-ayodele-predicting-split-in-pdps-g5/)

The situation on ground within the G-5 governors is gradually fulfilling the prophecy of Primate Ayodele. Ayu made claims yesterday that one of the governors visited him and is no longer part of the aggrieved governors. Governor Wike, the leader of the group, despite his determination to name his preferred presidential candidate in January, is yet to do so. Several aides of Governor Samuel Ortom, another strong member of the group, attended Atiku’s rally in Benue last week. Also, Governor Seyi Makinde was captured asking the people of Oyo to vote for PDP in the presidential election.

It’s very clear that the G-5 group has crashed as foretold by Primate Elijah Ayodele who also predicted the emergence of the group.
