Nigeria Police Games: Southwest State Commands Lead Medals Table

The teams from the Force Headquarters FHQ and Police Zone 2 and Zone 11 comprising states in the South-West lead on the medals table of the 12th Nigeria Police Games that ended in Awka, Anambra State on March 7.
 
Oriental News Nigeria reports that with a total of 106 gold, 72 silver and 69 bronze medals, the FHQ police athletes occupy the top position at the closing ceremony of the event. 
 
Zone 2 that comprises Lagos and Ogun State commands of the Police is the second position with 65 gold, 82 silver and 56 bronze medals, while Zone 11 that comprises Ondo, Osun and Oyo Police Commands, occupies the third position with 44 gold, 33 silver and 48 bronze medals. 
 
Nigeria Police Zonal Commands and State Zones Zone 6 which comprises Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Rivers and Ebonyi Police Commands is the fourth position with 27 gold, 33 silver and 38 bronze medals, while Zone 7 comprising FCT, Kaduna and Delta Police Commands occupies the fifth position with 22 gold, 24 silver and 26 bronze medals. 
 
Zone 9 that comprises Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo State Police Commands in the South-East is the sixth position with 21 gold, 16 silver and 25 bronze medals, while Zone 5 that comprises Bayelsa, Edo and Delta State Police Commands in the South-South occupies the seventh position with 17 gold, 22 silver and 29 bronze medals. 
 
Zone 8 that comprises Ekiti, Kogi and Kwara State Police Commands is eight position with 11 gold, 15 silver and 25 bronze medals, while Zone 1 that comprises Jigawa, Kano and Katsina state Police Commands in the North-West occupies the ninth position with 10 gold, 13 silver and 17 bronze medals. 
 
Zone 4 that comprises Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau State Police Commands in the North-Central is the 10th position with 4 gold, 10 silver and 19 bronze medals, while Zone 12 that comprises Bauchi, Borno and Yobe State Police Commands in the North-East occupies the eleventh position with 4 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals. 
 
At the bottom of the medal table is Zone 3 that comprises Adamawa, Gombe and Taraba State Police Commands in the North-East is twelfth position with just 3 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals, follows by Zone 10 that comprises Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara State Police Commands in the North-West occupies the thirteenth and the last position with zero gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze medals.
