Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, was crowned Miss Universe among several beauties across the globe on Sunday in Las Vegas at a star-studded ceremony.
The 22-year-old South African model and business management graduate at North-West University beat 91 other contestants to the title.
The first runner-up was actress Laura Gonzalez of Colombia, who was followed by second runner-up Davina Bennett of Jamaica.
Nel-Peters is only the second South African to win the title after Margaret Gardiner won the title in 1978.
Congratulations to her.
