King Charles III has made William Prince of Wales.
Glamtush reports that William is now the Prince of Wales, King Charles III said in his first televised speech on Friday.
“Today I am proud to create him Prince of Wales. The country whose title I’ve been so greatly privileged to bear during so much of my life and duty,” he said.
“With Catherine beside him, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations,” the King added.
The new royal titles are also reflected on their Twitter account as William and Kate have had their official Twitter handle changed Friday to reflect their new titles as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
They were previously known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
William is first in line to the throne. He served in the military from 2006 to 2013, participating in more than 150 helicopter search and rescue operations.
