Glamtush reports that Mrs. Favour Benson, Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart Foundation (JTAH Foundation), sends warm greetings to women worldwide as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025.
Observed annually on March 8, this year’s Women’s Day falls on a Saturday. The theme for 2025 is “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
Mrs. Benson urges action to achieve equal rights, power, and opportunities for women, advocating for a feminist future where everyone is treated fairly.
This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive and widely accepted global framework for women’s and girls’ rights.
She echoes the UN’s stance that educating the next generation-especially young women and teenage girls-to become long-term change agents is vital to achieving gender equality.
Notably, International Women’s Day gained further global recognition in 1975 when the UN officially recognized it.
