Burial date has been announced for the late Akwa Ibom First Lady.

Glamtush reports that the family of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, has formally announced her burial arrangements.

The burial is scheduled for November 29, with a funeral service at her country home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA.

Her husband, Governor Umo Eno, along with the bereaved family and the State Government, finalised these arrangements to honour her impactful life and enduring legacy.

The official announcement of her funeral was made on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Enobong Uwah.

Uwah conveyed the family’s gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from across the nation.

“We are deeply thankful for the overwhelming prayers, tributes, and comforting words during this profoundly difficult period,” Uwah stated.

He encouraged friends and well-wishers to join the family in the series of planned events to honour Pastor Patience Eno’s life.

Recall that she died on September 26.

Pastor Patience Eno passed away, leaving a legacy of compassion and faith that touched many lives throughout Akwa Ibom State and beyond.

Known for her dedication to her faith and community, her sudden passing has left a palpable void.

In memory of her commitment to service, a week of events has been planned, beginning with the opening of the Mourning House on November 20th, followed by condolence visits until November 26.

On November 22nd, a Night of Worship and Tributes will be held at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo, to reflect on her life’s impact, with songs of worship and heartfelt messages from those she inspired.

SSA-ICT, Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, noted, “Her Excellency was a beacon of hope to many, and this night of worship is a small testament to the light she brought to countless lives.”

The family invites the public to continue sending condolence messages to Condolencesforfirstlady@akwaibomstate.gov.ng by November 11 and encourages inquiries to be directed to Hon. Otobong Edemidiong at +234 806 930 3636.
