Amotekun has arrested suspects in connection with the Owo Catholic Church attack.
Glamtush reports that operatives of Amotekun Corps in Ondo State have arrested some suspects in connection with the June 5 massacre at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
Ondo State commander of Amotekun, Chief Àdetunji Adeleye said this in Akure the state capital. He added that the vehicle and some weapons used by the suspected killers have been recovered by the security outfit.
According to him, “We have arrested a number of those who perpetrated evil at the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
“We have also recovered the vehicle they used last after the deadly operation. We have also recovered some of their weapons. They came on motorcycles and hijacked a Golf vehicle.
”We have successfully recovered the vehicle and will soon arrest all the killers.”
“We are not stopping until we get to the root of this and I assure you that the perpetrators and their sponsors will be brought to book,’’ Adeleye said.
He made the announcement while parading 71 suspected criminals before newsmen in Akure on Thursday.
He said the 71 suspects were arrested within the month for cattle rustling, armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping, human trafficking, and theft of commercial motorcycles.
