Here are easy steps to check and accept your admissions 2026 offers on JAMB CAPS.

Glamtush reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised candidates with pending admission offers to log into its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and either accept or reject the offers immediately.

The advice was contained in a video explainer shared on JAMB’s official social media platforms on Friday, as the admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session gets underway.

The board urged candidates not to delay in checking their admission status, stressing that those who have received offers must take the necessary action on the platform.

According to JAMB, candidates can access their admission status by logging into their JAMB e-Facility accounts, clicking on “Admission Status” and then accessing CAPS.

“If you have an admission offer, accept or reject the offer with immediate effect,” the board stated in the video.

JAMB also urged candidates to regularly check their CAPS profiles and act on any admission offers displayed on their dashboards, warning against delays or assumptions about their admission status.

How to check your admission status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates who want to confirm whether they have received an admission offer are required to follow these steps:

• Log into their JAMB e-Facility account.
• Click on “Admission Status.”
• Access the Central Admissions Processing System.
• Check whether an admission offer has been made.
• If an offer is displayed, select either “Accept Admission” or “Reject Admission.”

Candidates who receive an offer are advised to take action immediately.

JAMB stressed that candidates should not assume that their admission status has not changed without checking their CAPS profiles.

JAMB introduces home O’level verification
The latest directive comes days after JAMB announced a new arrangement allowing candidates to verify and upload their O’level results from home without visiting a Computer-Based Test centre.

The development was announced by the board’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, in a statement shared on X on Monday.

Benjamin said JAMB had facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’level results directly with the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, beginning with the West African Examinations Council.

He said candidates could now upload their O’level results from home while JAMB verifies the results directly with the issuing examination bodies.

The board said the initiative would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
