A young Nigerian cyclist has set the Guinness World Record for riding a 2.9-metres-high bicycle.
Glamtush reports that a young Nigerian cyclist from Kebbi State, Bello Muhammad, has earned international recognition after riding a bicycle measuring 2.9 metres in height without assistance.
This news platform understands that the achievement, recognised by Guinness World Records, was celebrated at the Kebbi State Government Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, where officials commended the cyclist for showcasing the ingenuity and potential of Nigerian youths.
At 2.9 metres tall, this bicycle has earned its rider, Bello Muhammad, a place in the Guinness World Records.
The Kebbi-born cyclist reportedly achieved the feat on September 22, in Kebbi State, by riding the towering bicycle unsupported.
Beyond the record, the achievement is drawing attention to the creativity, determination and technical ingenuity of young people in the state.
The Patron of the Kebbi State Equity Cyclist Association, Abubakar Kalgo, says Muhammad fabricated the bicycle himself and demonstrated the skill required to mount, ride and dismount it without assistance.
Kalgo presented the Guinness World Records certificate to the state government, represented by the Head of Service, TPL Malami Shekare.
Receiving the presentation on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris, the Head of Service congratulated the cyclist, describing the accomplishment as an inspiring example of how perseverance and innovation can translate talent into extraordinary success.
Shekare also donated one million naira to Muhammad in recognition of the feat.
He said the achievement reinforces the importance of supporting young people and creating opportunities for them to develop their abilities.
