4. A 30-year-old private school teacher, Nathaniel Baiyegun, has been arrested for allegedly killing a 16-year-old West African Senior School Certificate Examination candidate identified as Florence, said to be his former student. It was learnt from a police source on Friday that the suspect allegedly lured the teenager to the scene of her death under the guise of attending an academic coaching class.

5. Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have dismantled a seven-man kidnapping syndicate allegedly responsible for the abduction of an eight-year-old boy in Katsina metropolis, recovering part of the ransom money and other exhibits during the operation.
