Star Life’s new novela Ishani premiered on Sunday, December 28, at 18h30, stepping into Jhanak’s second episode.
Note that Jhanak now airs in single episodes at 18h00, and Ishani continues its theme because it’s a spin-off.
Synopsis
This series is a spin-off from Jhanak, which revolves around Ishani, a character originally introduced as Jhanak’s close friend.
Now stepping into the spotlight, her narrative takes a 20-year leap, portraying her as a middle-aged woman who is forced into marriage with a widower who has children.
Ishani once aspired to become an IPS officer, but fate had other plans.
The series will follow her journey as she enrolls in university and rediscovers herself—navigating love, resilience, and second chances.

Yash tells Shashwat to plan a get-together for Ankita’s birthday. During the celebration, Pihu introduces Ishani to Ankita’s parents and praises her cooking.

Pihu plans a fun day out with Ishani, who reflects on her incomplete college life. Later, Ishani is accused of manipulating Pihu after standing up for her.
