Glamtush reports that Bishop Lawrence Osagie, the founder of Powerline Bible Church is dead.
This online platform understands that he died on Sunday, September 10 at the age of 65 according to a statement issued by the Church on Tuesday, September 12.
Osagie celebrated his 65th birthday on May 6.
The statement said, “In total submission to the will of God Almighty, the Powerline Bible Church Family announces the transition to Heaven of our father, founder, mentor, great teacher of the word, man of faith and God’s general, Bishop Lawrence Osagie.
“Bishop Lawrence Osagie, the founding pastor of Powerline Bible Church, passed unto glory on September 10, 2023 in Lagos at the age of 65 years.
“We thank God for the gift he gave us in our father, and we submit totally to our Lord Jesus Christ. He will surely be missed.”
The Bible passage, which also formed its caption, read: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
The church, located along the Oshodi-Mile Two express road by Cele Bus stop was founded 35 years ago. Osagie was one of the close associates of the Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa and a great player in the Word of Faith Movement.
