Peter Obi has dumped PDP and also withdrawn from the presidential race after a gang up against him.
Glamtush reports that a former governor of Anambra State, southeast Nigeria and presidential aspirant Peter Obi has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obi, a former Anambra Governor, was until his resignation one of the 15 aspirants vying for the presidential ticket of the PDP.
The letter conveying his resignation from the party was submitted to the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
This online news platform understands that Peter Obi also withdrew from the PDP Presidential Primary however he did not immediately disclose his next platform.
Meanwhile, Glamtush reports that Peter Obi’s resignation from PDP is expected to put an additional spotlight on the PDP’s primaries scheduled to be held in Abuja this weekend, where Mr Obi was initially seen as a front runner in a race that includes Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike, Dele Momodu, Bukola Saraki, and other bigwigs.
