1. Nigerian students trapped in the Republic of Sudan have said their hope of early evacuation from the theatre of a fierce military confrontation has been dashed by the Federal Government. The conflict between the Sudanese armed forces and the paramilitary group, Rapid Support Force, has claimed over 400 lives, with about 3,500 injured.
2. The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, on Saturday, announced the temporary closure of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, due to the collapse of a floodlight mast. Dare disclosed this in a statement after inspecting the collapsed floodlight mast.
3. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said the commission is zeroing on those hiding under real estate to perpetrate money laundering and other financial crimes.
