1. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has said he will ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Kashim Shettima in Borno State, saying Shettima’s benevolence must not be betrayed.
Zulum spoke when the wife of APC presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, led the APC women’s North East campaign team on a courtesy call on him in Maiduguri, on Saturday.

Gunmen, numbering seven, had attacked the Kubwa Extension II Relocation Estate, Tuesday night, abducting seven residents and killing two males, during the attack which lasted about an hour.

The Olunlosin of Eko Ajala in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, Sunday Akinwale, has raised the alarm over the invasion of his palace by hoodlums allegedly sponsored by a traditional ruler in the area. Also, the monarch alleged that he was badly beaten by the hoodlums who invaded the palace at midnight and carted away his personal belongings and some artifacts.
8. Women from the 25 local government areas of Delta State yesterday drummed support for the candidates of the Labour Party in next year’s general elections. At a rally tagged “One Million Women March,” they insisted that 2023 is the appropriate time to politically liberate women and give them prime places in the governance of the state.

He said that it would be difficult for the government alone to provide the required resources in funding the system to provide quality education.
