Mbappé scored a brace as Real Madrid Beat Barcelona 2-1 on Sunday.
Glamtush reports that Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé scored in each half to hand his side a 2-1 victory over Barcelona, ending the Catalan club’s perfect start to the domestic league season on Sunday.
Mbappé opened the scoring in the 41st minute after a failed clearance by a Barcelona defender saw the ball fall into his path before ending up in the net.
Barcelona responded in the second half, with their captain Raphinha restoring parity in the 61st minute to give the hosts hope of maintaining their unbeaten run.
However, Mbappé struck again in the 87th minute after a sublime assist from substitute Camavinga to secure all three points for Real Madrid and strengthen their position in the La Liga title race.
The victory represents a significant setback for Barcelona, who had been aiming to extend their winning run to 10 league matches, a feat no team had achieved in the competition this season.
Madrid’s win also provides a major boost to their title ambitions, as they look to close the gap on their rivals at the top of the league table.
The result once again underlined the importance of Mbappé to Real Madrid, with the French forward delivering two decisive goals in one of football’s biggest rivalries.
