Celebrities, politicians and scholars will gather in what can be described as mega youth conference in Lagos on Tuesday, May 29 under the auspices of ‘Discovery for Youths‘ to help Nigerian youths re-focus their minds and rechannel their energies into more profitable ventures and ultimate promotion of National development according to a statement issued in Lagos today by the Coordinator of the project, Mrs Francisca Ajakaiye.
She indicated that the entrepreneurs and celebrities uniting for the project come from both within and outside Nigeria from different endeavours and will use the occasion of Democracy Day to develop Nigerian youths through free entrepreneurship/ educational advice and mentorship as well as sound political orientation at the annual National Conference which will hold at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos where thousands of them will be enabled to climb out of financial insecurity as was evident from past Conferences.
The forum will also help to unleash their many unrealised dreams.
Resource persons for the conference include a UK-based Career Management expert and renowned educationist, Dr Peter Ogudoro, Seasoned and award winning actor Yemi Solade, Sensational actress , Mercy Aigbe, Mr Segun Adaju, MD/CEO Renewable Energy, renowed Gospel artiste, Tim Godfrey, Social media celeb/influencer, Woli Arole, unique Gospel DJ, Dj Gosporella, former Fela Anikulapo band mate, Keji Hamilton, CEO House of Plush, Kikiope Okewale and notable politicians like Agboola Dabiri (Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development), Hon. Adekunle Olatunde (CEO of Peers Technologies Ltd; a social commentator & politician) among others. The keynote address will be given by the founder of Rise Network Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji.
The convener of the Conference, Lawrence Onochie, explained that the project has been motivated by the realization that the “great Nigeria of our dream is attainable only through helping youths to channel their energies to productive ends”. It is his hope that other public spirited Nigerians will make similar contributions to enable the country effectively play its natural leadership role in Africa and equip Nigerian youths for global competitiveness.
