Lagos Discharges 42 More COVID-19 Patients
The Lagos state government has announced that it has discharged 42 more coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities after they tested negative twice for the virus.
Of the 42, 22 are male and 20 females. And they are all Nigerians.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the announcement on Friday, according to a tweet by his Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile.
This brings the number of fully recovered COVID-19 patients in the state to 448.
“#COVID19 Update by the Incident Commander, Gov. @jidesanwoolu. Good people of Lagos, 42 more persons; 22 males and 20 females, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities today to reunite with the society,” Akosile tweeted
As of Thursday evening, Lagos had recorded 1,491 COVID-19 cases, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
