Iron Rose ‘La Dona’ Season 2 Premieres In June
This is good news for fans and lovers of the American television series, La Dona better known as Iron Rose as season 2 premieres in June after a long wait.
When Iron Rose season 1 aired on Telemundo Africa channel, many fans were wowed and wanted more especially with the way it ended.
Fans yearned for more, but, they were in doubt if that was the end of powerful Altagracia Sandoval played by seasoned actress, Aracely Arambula, the woman who can do and undo at will.
In the highly awaited second season, Altagracia who everyone thought had died comes back meaner than ever. With her unexpected return, she will also draw new enemies to herself.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane about what happened in season one. The series, Iron Rose revolves around a beautiful, elegant, and successful woman, named Altagracia Sandoval who is well recognized in society and owner of an emporium in the construction world. However, as a young girl, she suffered two very strong traumas – the brutal murder of her parents along with her boyfriend by a group of five men called the Monkeys, who also raped her which resulted in pregnancy. These two unfortunate incidents marked her and made her the unforgiving woman she later became in life. She vowed to take revenge for what they did to her and her family.
However, years later, Altagracia and her daughter Monica (Danna Paola) both fell in love with the same man, Saul Aguirre (David Chocarro) without knowing that they were mother and daughter. When Altagracia discovered that Monica is also her boyfriend’s lover, with power on her side she tried everything to hurt her without knowing that she’s her own daughter. However, when Altagracia found out that Monica is her daughter, she decided to leave her alone and instead help her financially but she refused to take any help from the woman who had abandoned her. At the end of season one, Monica and Saul eventually got married which didn’t go down well with Altagracia.
Sneak peek into season 2
After two years away from everyone Altagracia now resides in Rio de Janeiro with her new boyfriend, Thiago doing illegal business. On the other hand, in Mexico, a new group of criminals now kidnaps women, abuses them, and then kills them. Also, there are new enemies for Altagracia, all the relatives of the men she killed want revenge. Meanwhile, Mónica and Regina are victims of an attack, and Saúl disappears. That makes Altagracia decide to return to Mexico, to protect her family. But upon her arrival, she learns that Saúl was killed and she is arrested. After her arrest, all her enemies find out that she is alive and will try to kill her. Well, what happens next?
In the second season of the series, Iron Rose will be starring an ensemble cast headed by Aracely Arambula, Carlos Ponce, and David Zepeda.
For fans looking forward to seeing Danna Paola and David Chocarro, they will be disappointed as two of their favourite casts will not star in the second season. While David Chocarro would no longer be a part of the cast, Danna Paola only has special participation due to her commitment to another series while season two was been shot.
