Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has dissolved the State Executive Council.
Glamtush understand that the decision was after a meeting held at the Exco Chambers of the Government House in Abakaliki on Friday.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, the Secretary to the State Government, Kenneth Ugbala, said the decision taken by the government is to enhance performance and increase the efficiency of government deliverables in the state.
According to the government, the dissolution to be carried out in phases will afford some of the ministries, departments and agencies to appraise their work.
It is also to give the government the opportunity to appraise different ministries, departments and agencies and strengthen the capacity building.
The SSG went further to reel out those not affected by the current move of the government to bring more efficiency to the work of governance in Ebonyi State.
Meanwhile, the SSG, commissioners overseeing ministries such as Information, Internal Security, and Finance amongst 25 officials retained their portfolios, while 81 others cutting across ministries, departments and agencies were relieved of their positions.
