Funke Akindele has unveiled her star-studded cast and release date for new cinema movie ‘The Four.’
Glamtush reports that Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has unveiled the star-studded cast of her latest cinematic project, “The Four: No One Fights Alone,” which is set to hit cinemas globally on December 11 with FilmOne handling its theatrical distribution.
The highly anticipated movie brings together some of the biggest names in Nollywood, alongside prominent figures from the music and entertainment industries.
The cast features Funke Akindele, Waje, Chioma Akpotha, Bisola Aiyeola, John Ekanem, Wunmi Toriola, Lateef Adedimeji, Ireoluwa Olaniyan, Ali Nuhu, Omotunde Adebowale David, popularly known as Lolo1, Mide Iwasokun, Kolapo Omotosho, Shoday, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Uzor Arukwe and Ogbolor.
The film also stars veteran actress Ronke Oshodi Oke, actor Antar Laniyan, as well as entertainment personalities Samuel Banks and Ayomide Iwasokun.

The Four is described as an emotionally charged drama that explores friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of ordinary women.
Set between the picturesque Odu Community and the vibrant city, the movie follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women whose determination to secure a better future for a young man they love puts their courage, faith and loyalty to the test.
The film explores themes of hope, sacrifice and unity while incorporating music, fashion, language and tradition to showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural identity.
Akindele, who serves as the writer, director and producer of the project, said The Four would explore relatable relationships and experiences that audiences could connect with.
Speaking in an interview with BellaNaija, she said, “Audiences have grown with us over the years, and they expect stories that entertain while reflecting who we are.”
She added, “With The Four, we are exploring the relationships that shape us, challenge us and stay with us. I think audiences will find a part of themselves in this story.”
The movie marks another major theatrical project for Akindele, who has established herself as one of Nigeria’s leading filmmakers and box-office forces.
She has directed and produced commercially successful films including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind The Scenes.
Her productions have repeatedly recorded strong performances at the Nigerian box office, further cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s prominent filmmakers.
