D’Banj, Simi has been named judges of Nigerian Idol season 7.
Glamtush reports that popular award-winning music icons Dapo Oyebanjo, widely known as D’Banj, and singer cum songwriter, Simi, have joined Obi Asika as judges for Nigerian Idol Season 7.
The Bigi sponsored Nigerian Idol premieres on Sunday, February 6th, on DStv and GOtv.
Announcing the judges of season 7, the organizers of the show, Multichoice, revealed during a press conference that Seyi Shay, Obi Asika, and DJ Sose held a fantastic season 6 of the most anticipated music reality show. However, the Idol format worldwide allows changing of judges to refresh the contest as it deems fit, which is why D’Banj and Simi are on board to create a more exciting and engaging experience for fans and lovers of the show. IK Osakioduwa also returns as the host of the show for season 7.
Bigi, Naija’s leading and favourite range of carbonated soft drinks returns as the headline sponsor for the second time. The Bigi brand will journey with all participating contestants as well as fans as the show goes live.

Nigerian Idol Season 7 will premiere on DStv Channel 197 and GOtv Channel 29 on Sunday, February 6, at 6 pm. The main live episodes will air weekly starting Sunday, March 20 at 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase, Urban and Family.
