Kunle Afolayan Flaunts 1929 Mercedes Benz Classic
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has taken to Instagram to show off his 1929 vintage Mercedes-Benz-Gazelle.
The filmmaker rode the car to his newly opened KAPHub on Wednesday as some of his staff stood in awe of it.
The 1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle which he acquired November 2019 is an addition to his growing list of vintage cars. The care joins his other three vintage cars, including a 1965-1972 Mercedes Benz SE; a 1979 Jaguar XJ Series III; and a 1965 Ford Thunderbird.
“I am an old soul, vintage mind, classic blood in the contemporary body,” says the filmmaker about the car in an Instagram post on Wednesday night.
He told The Luxury Reporter in an exclusive chat he is acquiring vintage cars for the purpose of shooting period films.
“We suffered that when we shot ‘October 1’. So, I decided to start prepping for future projects. And they will be available for people who might want to shoot period films or series,” he said.
