Coronavirus Relief: Kim Kardashian, Irina Shayk, Hailey Bieber, Other Stars Hit Virtual Runway
Stars including Kim Kardashian West, Hailey Bieber, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Ashley Graham, Winnie Harlow, Irina Shayk, and more will make appearances in “Fashion Unites” promoted as the first “self-filmed fashion show.”
The virtual runway will be streaming on YouTube Friday at 4 p.m. ET.
Models will wear pieces from their own closets, styled remotely by CR Fashion Book founder Carine Roitfeld and her team. YouTube’s Head of Fashion and Beauty Derek Blasberg will host.
“As we face times of great uncertainty, our support for one another is more important than ever,” Roitfeld said in a press release. “Embracing fashion as the creative expression through which to support the health and safety of our global communities, we hope this show can offer a small moment of hope, inspiration, and uplifting connection. A modest contribution as our world unites to collectively weather the storm of this pandemic together.”
The show will raise awareness for the amfAR Fund to Fight COVID-19 research efforts. According to the press release, Roitfeld, CR and “other participating creatives” made “personal monetary donations to kick-start the initiative” and all of the show’s participants are taking part “pro-bono.”
