Faith has been disqualified from BBNaija season 10.
Glamtush reports that Big Brother has officially disqualified housemate Faith from the ongoing BBNaija season 10 show after a physical altercation with fellow contestant Sultana.
The decision was announced by Biggie on Thursday following an emergency meeting at the main lounge, and Faith was asked to leave the house immediately.
Faith’s recent involvement in a violent confrontation during a disagreement with Sultana has been deemed a significant violation of the house rules. According to Section 15, Sub-section 1 of the Rule Book: Any housemate who becomes physically violent may be removed from the house immediately.
Faith’s disqualification followed a scuffle with Sultana during a group task.
The clash began after Sultana accused him of being controlling and insisting on leading the group despite the task not relating to his medical expertise.
The argument escalated when Faith dragged a basket containing the group’s materials, causing Sultana to fall and sustain an injury. She also claimed her hand was hurt in the process.
Fellow housemate, Kaybobo, briefly intervened and took the basket from Faith, but tensions remained high. A frustrated Sultana later declared she could no longer work with him in the same group.
The show’s management noted that the incident violated the house rules, which forbid physical violence. Such offences may attract strikes and, in extreme cases, disqualification.
Faith’s disqualification is the latest disciplinary action in BBNaija’s ongoing 10/10 season.
Glamtush recalls that ex-housemates Tacha, Erica, and Beauty all faced similar disciplinary action.
In 2019, Tacha was disqualified after a fight with Mercy. Big Brother found her guilty of pushing, shoving and pulling Mercy’s hair on two occasions, describing the act as violence and intent to harm.
Mercy, in turn, received two strikes for provocation after flicking her hair on Tacha and failing to de-escalate the situation.
In 2020, Erica was sent packing after a string of infringements, including denying the Deputy Head of House access to the lounge, peeping through the windows, insulting housemates, and goading fellow contestants.
As Head of House at the time, she was found to have disregarded Biggie’s rules despite earlier warnings.
Her cumulative strikes earned her immediate disqualification on Eviction Sunday.
In 2022, Beauty Tukura, a former Miss Nigeria, was disqualified barely two weeks into the Level Up season after destroying property and assaulting fellow housemate Groovy. She had previously received a strike for assaulting Ilebaye.
Big Brother ruled that her repeated misconduct, including throwing objects and damaging property, was unacceptable.
Other disqualified contestants over the years include Kemen Ekerete, Khloe Abiri, and Kelvin Brouillete (K-Brule), all penalised for rule-breaking and violent conduct.
