RCCG has donated baby essentials in celebration of Pastor Adeboye’s birthday.

Glamtush reports that the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Grace Ville parish, Alimosho, Lagos, on Monday donated basic baby essentials to children born on March 2 at the Orile-Agege General Hospital, Lagos, to celebrate the birthday of the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who turned 83.

According to the coordinator of the Daddy G.O Legacy Project, Pastor (Mrs.) Adeola Olowolafe, the gesture was motivated by the love of Daddy G.O for children.

She revealed that Pastor Adeboye has a heart for children and that they are a big deal to him.

She stated, “We are here at Orile-Agege General Hospital to present gifts to children that were born on the 2nd of March. It is to celebrate children that were born on the same day as Daddy G.O. He turned 83.

“We are giving basic baby essentials to the newborns. This is because Daddy has a heart for children. I think that speaks a lot, and that is why our parish has chosen to do this on his behalf. He has a heart for children. Children are a big deal for him.

“Our parish has been doing this programme since 2022 when Daddy G.O turned 80. I remember that in 2023, Daddy actually asked us to bring the children that were born in 2022 to him for his blessings. He prayed and blessed them. That is something I know about him. Children are very close to his heart.

“As a parish, we do a lot of CSR. We do medical outreach just to give back to society because our parish is located in Alimosho. We do this to have a positive impact on our immediate environment.”

A member of the Legacy Project team, Adeola Oluwafemi, described the gesture as an expression of love and care for the children.

She said, “It is what God has asked us to do as believers. We are here in Orile-Agege to present gifts to children born on the same day as Daddy G.O. It is to celebrate children that share the same birthday as the RCCG General Overseer. We do this to celebrate his birthday and also show love to the children and let them see how special they are to share the same birth date with a great man of God who has made a positive impact in the lives of many people globally.

Daddy G.O is a father of faith, and he has shown this example not only in faith but in all spheres of life to everyone around him.”

The Medical Director/CEO of Orile-Agege General Hospital, Dr Sola Pitan, who received the gifts on behalf of the newborns, thanked the donors for the kind gesture.

He said, “We thank you for identifying with us. We thank you for coming to help us because we do have some patients who are indigents and don’t have enough money to pay for their health services. As you know, we are a public hospital; we don’t charge like private hospitals because the Lagos State government funds our services.

“We appreciate this wonderful gesture. Thank you for the show of love and care to us to commemorate the birthday of Daddy G.O. I’m a redeemer myself, therefore, I’m happy to see that a branch of the RCCG has come to identify with us at the hospital. Thank you for all you do, and we greatly appreciate your gesture.”
