Zee World Staying True Debuts (Plot Summary, Full Story, Cast)

Staying True, a new family drama will be premiering on Zee World.

Akshita Mudgal and Hitesh Bharadwaj play the main characters in Staying True, one of the new series premiering on Zee World today, Monday, May 1.

The series replaces “It’s Not Easy To Love” which ended on Sunday, April 30 at 10 pm WAT and 11 pm CAT at 12 am EAT (Rest of Africa).

The plot of Staying True is a telenovela about modern women who can beat men no matter how married they are.

Akshita Mudgal, who plays the lead role tells the touching story of a struggling IAS officer.

The dramatic story of a daughter-in-law is at the heart of the Staying True plot. She is hitched to a moderate family who accepts ladies can never stretch out beyond men in their day-to-day existence. The manner in which Akshita’s personality battles through various challenges will motivate cutting-edge ladies.

Women continue to fight for their fundamental rights to education and freedom of choice in our patriarchal society. And keeping in mind what is happening has been evolving progressively, we frequently hear or see accounts of a lady’s fortitude and unflinching soul to satisfy her fantasies in spite of the multitude of checks from society.

Staying True plot summary

The show is centered around a patriarchal society where women fight for their fundamental rights to education and freedom of choice. While the situation has been changing gradually, we often hear or witness stories of a woman’s courage and undeterred spirit to fulfill her dreams despite all odds.

Staying True mirrors the struggle in the life of Paragi, an enthusiastic woman who has dreams of becoming an IAS officer. However, she must find a way to do this while her husband and his family constantly try to put her down.

Will she fulfill her heart’s desires, or will her foes succeed in killing her dream? These are part of the things viewers are expected to watch out for as the show airs.

Staying True Zee World full story

The story begins with the introduction of a bubbly girl Paragi (played by Akshita) who is gearing up for her sister’s sangeet. But it is a big day for Paragi as amid the celebrations, she is looking forward to fulfilling her dream of applying for the UPSC exams. However, things aren’t as easy as they appear to be in the beginning.

While Paragi appears to be hardworking and determined to fulfill her and her late father’s wish of becoming an IAS officer, her badi maa Chanda (played by Richa) isn’t happy with her aspirations.

In fact, Chanda and her children dislike Paragi and frequently see her being exploited for household duties. Notwithstanding, it was Paragi’s bade father who was his greatest help and maintained that she should satisfy her fantasy about turning into an IAS official. And just as Paragi is about to submit her UPSC form to begin the process of achieving her goal, a new twist comes her way.

Will society crush her aspirations or will she be able to fulfill her dream?

The first episode successfully establishes a connection with the audience and begins on a powerfully emotional note. Richa will make you fall in love with her negative character of a mean aunt, and Akshita has won hearts by playing the bubbly girl with high aspirations. She has left her mark even in the first episode.

Since the story seems relatable, it will be interesting to see if the creators are able to keep the plot going in the next episodes or if it just turns into a typical family drama.

The conservative Indian society and male dominance, in general, are highlighted in Staying True.
