Nigerian singer, Wizkid’s song, “Essence” featuring Tems has broken a new record on the Billboard Hot 100 and World Digital Song Sales charts.
“Essence” topped the Billboard World Digital Songs Sales list.
However, this isn’t the first time the superstar has topped the charts.
Wizzy’s “Essence” isn’t his only song on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart.
Songs from the singer’s most recent album “Made in Lagos” are also climbing the charts quite rapidly.
Essence also peaked at number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week as of July 21, making it the second week on the chart, having debuted at no. 82 just last week.
Furthermore, it is the first fully Nigerian song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song has risen 10 spots in just one week after its release, demonstrating its huge global success.
