Why I Started My Foundation – Emmanuel Fadipe

Emmanuel Fadipe’s primary dream is linked to his passion for humanity. Hence, he started a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) called Emmanuel Fadipe Foundation to help people especially underprivileged children in society.

Emmanuel Fadipe who is extremely passionate about humanity is greatly interested in helping people especially underprivileged children revive their bright hopes by fueling their self-esteem and nurturing their talents until their aspired heights are achieved. As his dream broadly cuts across all ages, he envisions a world without perpetual penury and hunger, a world devoid of free-flowing tears caused by years of hunger.

“My primary dream is linked to my passion for humanity. This is primary to me,” he said.

Fadipe who has won a number of leadership and humanitarian awards started a non-governmental organisation a year ago as a means of helping people around the world, especially from Africa.

The foundation which he considered as one of the tools to carry out his destined assignments on earth was officially established on February 28, 2022, on his birthday. The NGO has a number of objectives including discovering talents all around Africa, helping out-of-school children get back to school, engaging in humanitarian projects to help underprivileged people, assist individuals with initiatives to experience productivity in their self-employed enterprises, among many others.

Within a year, the NGO  (Emmanuel Fadipe Foundation0 has lived up to expectations through humanitarian projects in schools, and places of worship among many others. Some of the projects include giving all writing materials including books customised in the name of the foundation to Community Primary school students at Oke Odo, Lagos. The foundation crew also ensured that the students with torn old uniforms were changed, and new sandals with socks were given to most of the students to put smiles on their faces.

The aim of this project and similar ones done in schools is to ensure that students from poor backgrounds do not feel less among their peers with an understanding that dreams can be achieved when the place of their self-confidence is not destroyed and this is fundamentally reflected in their appearance. The foundation daily reminds students to understand the virtues of self-belief which is principal in strengthening willpower. After all, where there is a will to succeed, there will always be a way to achieve all dream heights.

The foundation which is devoid of religious bias and prioritises humanity above different perceptions, tribes, personal beliefs, and differences engaged in a humanitarian project to mosques during the last Ramadan fasting period and supplied different food items to those fasting as a means of ensuring they have a worthwhile fast-breaking. One of the beneficiaries was Ansar-us-deen Society Akowonjo Division Lagos.

According to Fadipe, the foundation has not applied for any external funding to date and his personal funds with his family support have been the only secret to the success stories in the embarked projects. He admitted that even though the foundation may apply for funding in the future, his passion is to give all he has for the sake of humanity and when all he has isn’t enough to bring smiles to the faces of all and sundry, he will seek help from people who will be willing to assist.

He said, “The foundation is not mine, it is for everyone. My dream is to give all of me to the world. This is my passion and I am always happy to see problems and human challenges solved all around the world. I am created for this and I must keep doing it till I meet my creator. I must!”

The foundation is set to carry out a great project in the coming weeks which the founder considers key to the future of students and anticipates the positive impact this will make in the lives of the children both now and in the nearest future.

“We are set to engage in a big project in at least four schools in Nigeria and this through the grace of God will serve as a key to the future of the children. If truly the children are our future, no amount of money is too much to bring them to the same level as children across the globe. We are not less as Africans, irrespective of our challenges, our future can be made golden if the children get the best they truly deserve. I have a dream and together we can make the world a better place. I have a dream!”

He admits that his greatest motivation is God the giver of life who is the the only supreme being his parents taught him to know and to rely on. He explained that he does nothing outside the permission of God and all he has is through God’s grace.

“I want to someday journey home to meet my maker when my days are gone with a smile on my face that I have given all he gave me to save the world around me. I want to hear him tell me “Welcome my son, enter into your deserved rest.” I believe I have a lot to do. I want a standing ovation like Stephen had and to meet with my saviour who died for me.  I want to leave this world a better place than I met it. I have a dream!”

Emmanuel Fadipe who was raised by his parents considers them his angels. Remembering his past, he describes his parents as the greatest gift of God to him.

“My parents are like the wonder moon in my sky. They gave me everything and did the same for all my siblings. The level of selflessness in ensuring we achieved everything is unbelievable. They also brought us all up in the way of the Lord and ensured we were morally sound. They gave us the best gifts of life even when they had absolutely nothing. I appreciate love and unity because this was all I experienced as a child. It was what we were groomed with as children. I couldn’t have come from a better home. This home and my parents are my best gifts and I hope to someday have a better home that will break this outstanding record of all time.”

On whether he has ever thought of quitting to do something else, Fadipe said, “The Bible says that, ‘No one who puts his hands on the plough and looks back is fit for the kingdom’. If, by chance, the thought of quitting ever crosses my mind, I would take my motivation back to the source -God, who never fails. I constantly encourage myself.”
