A Nigerian man identified as Elijah Amusan, who is stranded in Europe for over four years, has pleaded with the authorities as well as well-meaning people to help him return back to his country.
In a video shared online, the man who spoke in his native language, Yoruba
disclosed that he left Nigeria to Italy in 2016 and tried to get documents but to no avail.
According to him, he couldn’t work in Italy because he wasn’t able to get the necessary documents, so he travelled to in Frankfurt, Germany,
Amusan claimed he has signed the necessary documents in Germany seeking repatriation to Nigeria but the government has refused to grant his request despite sending others like him home.
He is now calling on Nigerians, the Federal Government and the European Union to help get him back home to see his family again.
