Glamtush reports that legendary Nigerian singer, journalist, actress, and politician Onyeka Onwenu has died at the age of 72.
This online news platform recalls that she died on Tuesday, July 30, moments after performing at the 80th birthday celebration of Stella Okoli, owner of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
After her performance, she reportedly returned to her seat and slumped.
She was rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos but died.
A video of Onyeka’s last performance, just moments before she slumped has been shared.
During her performance, she was energetic and in good spirits.
