Nigeria’s Falconets have crashed out of U20 Women’s World Cup.
Glamtush reports that Nigeria under 20 ladies, the Falconets of Nigeria failed in their bid to reach the last four of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after bowing to the European side, Netherlands on Sunday night, August 21.
This online news platform understands that the Nigeria U20 Women lost 2-0 to the Netherlands to crash out of the 2022 Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup.
First-half goals from Zera Hulswit and Ziva Caroline Henry sent Christopher Danjuma’s Falconets crashing out of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
Zera Hulswit opened the scoring after 11 minutes of play while Ziva Caroline Henry doubled the lead for the European side in the 33 minutes to give the Netherlands a 2-0 lead before the break.
Meanwhile, Glamtush reports that the Netherlands are through to the semifinals of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup for the first time in their history. Scoring from their only two shots on goal, they will face Spain next.
