VIDEO: Mr Ibu’s Body Leaves Lagos Morgue

Mr Ibu’s body left the Lagos mortuary in the early hours of today.

 

Glamtush reports that the body of Nollywood actor, John Okafor widely known as Mr Ibu has been transported from Lagos to his hometown in Enugu ahead of the burial today.

A video has emerged on social media showing the moment the actor’s sons Valentine and Daniel Okafor accompanying the body which was being wheeled by hospital staff on Monday.

The comic actor died on Saturday at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a protracted battle with illness.

The 63-year-old battled health issues that led to multiple surgeries and the amputation of one of his legs.

According to the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas, Ibu’s manager Don Single Nwuzor told him that the actor suffered cardiac arrest before he passed on.

“Mr lbu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor. I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace,” he said in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Ibu hailed from Umunekwu in Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State.
