Toke Makinwa has disclosed that she is ready to be a “2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th wife.
Glamtush reports that Nigerian media personality and actress, Toke Makinwa, says she is at a point in her life where her marital choices are limited.
While speaking in the latest episode of her podcast, the 40-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur said if given the opportunity to be a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife, she would consider it.
Her words, “As independent women, do you think that we have glamourised this notion of being independent?,” Makinwa asked her guest on the show, Banke Kuku.
“Yeah. It’s tough,” Kuku replied.
The movie star added, “I won’t lie, Banke. Let me break it down. Forget the cameras.
“At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to be the second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it.”
Makinwa stated that she needs a man that she can lean on sometimes.
She said, “Let me tell you what the biggest thing for me is, I am the boss everywhere and that could be tiring. You feel like you need someone to lean on. Someone who could decide what is for dinner. Must it be me?”
Meanwhile, recall that Toke Makinwa was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida. They got married in 2014, but their marriage ended in 2017.
In November 2024, there were reports that she had tied the knot with her rumoured longtime partner, Farouk Umar, but the actress debunked the reports, stating that they were just “besties” and that the alleged wedding ceremony was her Thanksgiving event.
