Comoros’ President Azali Assoumani has won a new five-year term, the country’s electoral body announced late Tuesday (Jan. 16).
On Wednesday, scuffles were reported in the capital, Moroni, following the proclamation of the results.
The election, held on Sunday, was marked by allegations of fraud and irregularities as Assoumani faced off against five opponents, ultimately winning with 62.97% of the vote.
Popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele accurately foretold the victory of President Azali Assoumani.
In November 2023, Primate Ayodele in a video interview made it known that the president will win the election unless any serious candidate comes up to contest against him. He declared that the Azali Assoumani will be allowed to contest and will win the election.
These were his words, ‘’In Comoros, the incumbent president will have an opportunity to recontest and will win. The only way they can punch him is if he doesn’t change his strategy but otherwise, He will win. If there is election today the incumbent president will win’’
Just as he foretold, the incumbent won the election.
