Glamtush reports that Afrobeats megastar, Davido, recently stopped his performance at a recent concert in the United States, in order to give tribute to the deceased mother of his respected colleague, Wizkid, whom he holds in high esteem.
This online platform recalls that Wizkid lost his mother on Friday, August 18, and the sad news quickly threw many of the singer’s fans into mourning.
Davido joined the many other stars worldwide who have taken to social media to express their condolences to their colleague Wizkid.
The DMW Boss, paused his stage performance at the Afro Nation event held in Detroit, to pay respects to Wizkid’s deceased mother. He also shared his personal encounters with sorrow and discussed the far-reaching influence of Wizkid on a global scale.
Davido evoked deep emotions among his fans at the concert as he recounted the various individuals he has lost to the harsh reality of death, as he extended his condolences to Wizkid, and urged him to find solace in the fact that he brought joy and pride to his late mother during her lifetime.

Burna paid a heartwarming tribute to Mrs Balogun and said he cannot imagine losing his own mother and how it would be the end of him.
In his words: “Before I move on, some news came to my ears not long ago. One of my brothers lost his mum, Wizkid. I want to say rest in peace to Wizkid’s mum, I can’t imagine how it would be to lose my mum, that would be the end of me.”
