Veteran actor Suara is dead

Glamtush reports that veteran Nollywood actor Oluyemi Lawrence Adeyemi, popularly known as Suara is dead.

This online platform recalls that Adeyemi who acted alongside Sola Sobowale in the popular hit TV series Super Story, ‘Oh Father! Oh Daughter!, was said to have died on Sunday, September 24th.

His death was announced in a statement released by his son, Adedotun Adeyemi.

Adeyemi Jnr. said the family is “consoled because we know that he has gone to rest.”

He, however, requested that “the family be allowed some privacy in this time of grief.”

He added that “more details about the burial will be communicated soon.”

However, the family didn’t disclose the cause of his death.

The statement read, “It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to God that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Oluyemi Lawrence Adeyemi (Suara) who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

“We are consoled because we know that he has gone to rest. We kindly request that the family be allowed some privacy in this time of grief. More details about the burial will be communicated soon.”

Movie critic and writer, who also doubles as the close friend of the deceased, Dr Shaibu Husseini also confirmed the heartbreaking news.

“I have been reliably informed that veteran actor Chief Yemi Adeyemi aka Suara has transited.

“Popular as Suara, Chief Adeyemi rode to prominence playing Suara in the rested ‘Oh Father, Oh Daughter’ series of the hugely popular Super Story stories by Wale Adenuga Productions.

“Baba Suara as some of his younger colleagues simply called him, reportedly “acted out” this Sunday. Journey well Baba Suara. You will be sorely missed. Odigba Sir. Journey Well….” Husseini wrote.

Yemi Adeyemi was one of the star actors in one of Wale Adenuga’s production series, Super Story, ‘Oh Father! Oh Daughter!, where he was a polygamist with Bukky Wright as his first wife and Sola Sobowale as his second wife.

His death is coming just a few days after actor and filmmaker, Charles Granville was announced dead. He was said to have died on Thursday, September 21.

The news was made known by one of Charles’s friends, Umanu Elijah, who announced that Charles had finally given up the ghost after years of battling a protracted illness.

Charles was one of the main stars of the popular Africa Magic series Tinsel.
