In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the group hosted a 6-kilometre walk to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and remind everyone that the fight against breast cancer begins with information, compassion, and action. This was a statement that Access cares and stands with survivors.
At the end of the morning, participants gathered for health talks and free breast cancer screenings, practical steps that turned advocacy into impact.
By the end of the day, about 50 women had been screened, several receiving guidance for follow-up care. Each test represented a story of a mother, sister, or friend choosing knowledge over fear.
Purpose in Every Step
For Access Holdings, initiatives like this are expressions of a larger purpose: to make a positive impact across Africa.
Health, alongside education, environment, and entrepreneurship, remains one of the Group’s core sustainability pillars, because a healthy society is the foundation on which progress is built.
The walk was filled with laughter, shared stories, and moments of reflection, reminders that compassion is strongest when practiced together.
Employees showed up, walking side by side with colleagues, friends, and families, proof that collective strength lies not only in our numbers, but in unity of purpose.
More Than an Event
The day was not about medals or finish lines. It was about movement with meaning, a demonstration that small actions, taken together, can ripple outward to touch countless lives.
As October comes to an end, Access Holdings remains committed to using its platform to spread awareness, promote early detection, and support those affected by breast cancer.
