The convener of Total School Support Seminar/Exhibition (TOSSE) and Managing Director, Edumark Consult, Mrs. Yinka Ogunde has assured that this year’s event is fully loaded to equip stakeholders in the education sector with transformative innovations that will enable them to achieve better results in moulding Africa’s future leaders as all roads lead to 10 Degrees for the 11th edition.
Speaking with journalists on the primary objective of the annual event, Ogunde noted that the essence of TOSSE is to provide a platform for educationists to see and learn what is new in the field by meeting organizations that are developing innovative products and services for the education sector.
“From inception, the goal has always been to be the platform whereby educators from across Nigeria and the African continent converge to learn, unlearn and relearn.”
This she said has become imperative because of the gross decay in our educational system and the need to reform the sector in order to transform the nation.
In her words, “I strongly believe that to transform our nation we need to reform our education sector. No nation can develop beyond its Education sector. This is why for this year’s edition of TOSSE, we have changed the entire scenario and introduced many new things. Apart from the rich line of veterans that would be speaking on various educational concerns with a view to proffering innovative solutions, there are also varieties of informative platforms such as Business Clinic, Personal Growth Class for Educators, Legal Aid Unit, Mathematics Hub, Arts & Crafts Village, Parent/ Schools Forum anchored by Concerned Parents & Educators Network (CPE). We also have Principals and Head-teachers from Agege Education District attending the program.”
The highpoint of the event, scheduled to hold on 6th and 7th June, is the participation of the new Ambassador of Finland as she speaks about the Finland experience and Professor Bankole Shodipo who will also speak at the opening ceremony.
Other notable speakers at the event are foremost educationist, Folasade Adefisayo, CEO, Leading Edge, and Juliet Ehimuan Chaizor, Country Director, Google.
The Total School Support Seminar/Exhibition (TOSSE) has been classified as Africa’s Biggest Education Show, bringing together stakeholders from different parts of Nigeria and other African countries to explore new technologies and products that can enhance the holistic development and positive impact on all within the education sector.
