1. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has described the nationwide mobilization for protests as unnecessary, ill-timed, and done in bad taste. According to him, in Kaduna State, they have committed themselves to rebuilding trust and making the state safe and secure.

An eyewitness who claimed to be a resident of Irete in Owerri West Local Government Area of the state, said fear couldn’t allow him and others to ascertain how many civilians were also shot.

10. Soldiers attached to the Nkwagu Military Cantonment, on Monday, killed an armed robber on the Akpoha/Abaomege area of the Afikpo-Abakaliki Highway in the Onicha Local Government Area of the state. They also arrested three people said to have links with the hoodlums who allegedly terrorised motorists in the area.
