1. Twenty persons have died as a result of devastating floods that ravaged the Bade Local Government Area of Yobe since early August, its Chairman, Alhaji Babagana Ibrahim, has said. 7. The Kebbi State Police Command has reported that its operatives killed a suspected bandit terrorising a local community and arrested two others. The command’s spokesperson, Nafiu Abubakar, in a statement issued on Friday, disclosed that three AK-47 rifles and ammunition were recovered during the operation.

Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta have started receiving credit alerts from the banks for the students’ loans they applied for, the institution’s Rector, Dr Adeoye Odedeji, said.
