1. Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike declared last night that he had no apologies to offer any one for threatening to put fire in any Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) controlled state undermining his position in the party. While some revealed that they had started sending trucks to the Lagos-based multi-billion dollar plant to load products from Sunday, others stated that their tankers would hit the refinery any day from next week.

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, issued the alert in Abuja on Friday during a press briefing on the flooding situation in Maiduguri.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has been summoned by a Magistrate’s Court in Abuja for allegedly making a false statement on his date of birth. A document that emerged on Friday showed that Okpebholo was asked to appear before the court at 12 noon on September 20 by Magistrate Abubakar Mukhtar.
10. The Kogi State Police Command has paraded four suspects linked to the death of Damilola Olowoyo, a 19-year-old first-year student at the Federal University, Lokoja. The suspects, Jeremiah Paul, Emmanuel Otitoju, Banabas Olugbenga, and Ajayi Ayomide, were presented at the police headquarters in Lokoja on Friday.
