1. Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has said 23 local government councils in the state will operate from an alternative Secretariat following Tuesday’s sealing of the councils by the police. 7. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, refused to grant bail to the suspended DCP Abba Kyari and four other police officers charged with alleged drug trafficking. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling, held that the defendants had not placed sufficient materials before the court to warrant granting the request.
8. The sum of $6,230,000 allegedly stolen from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on February 8, 2023, was shared and invested into real estate, according to court documents.
