1. Indications emerged on Thursday that the Central Bank of Nigeria leadership will hold meetings with the shareholders of Union Bank of Nigeria, Polaris Bank and Keystone Bank this weekend or early next week as a follow-up to the sack of the boards of directors of the three banks.

Minister of Steel Development, Shauibu Audu, disclosed this to journalists at the State House, Abuja, after he and the Minister of Defense, Abubakar Badaru, met with President Tinubu at the State House on Thursday.

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested one Mustapha Jimoh of Amoyo area in Ifelodun LGA for allegedly stealing 20 cartons of Islamic literature comprising the Quran and traditions of the Prophet (Hadith). It was gathered that the suspect broke into the personal library of a Saudi Arabia-based scholar, Ustaz Jamiu, to steal the items.
