Toni Kan, Cathey Armillas, Tope Oshin, Others To Speak At TEDxMendeWomen

Notable women and a male have been selected to speak at the maiden edition of TEDxMendeWomen taking place in Lagos.

TEDWomen brings together a global community of people interested in exploring how change begins: with innovative thinkers who catalyze ideas toward action. Over the past few years, TEDWomen and TEDxWomen have launched some powerful ideas into the world. It is an invitation only event but in partnership with ntel, the event highlights will be live streamed to fans and followers.

Some of the speakers lined up for the one-day event are: Cathey Armillas (award winning author, Brand Strategist and TEDx Coach)Tope Oshin (film director) Toun Okewale Sonaiya (Founder WFm 91.7)Josephine Effah-Chukwuma (Founder of Project Alert)Florence Atunwa Olumodimu (Marketing Communications Consultant & Licensee TEDxMendeWomen)Toni Kan (Poet, PR Expert and Author)Khadijah Abdullahi-Iyah (Publisher SI Magazine & Founder Beyond Mentors)Nkiru Olumide-Ojo (Branding & Communications Expert and Founder The Lighthouse Network)Uri Ngozichukwuka (Founder Edwin not-for-profit helping physically challenged women and girls)Oreoluwa Somolu Lesi (founder W-Tec centre for technology skills transfer).

According to Florence Atunwa Olumodimu, Licensee TEDxMendeWomen on Friday, November 3rd, 10 Speakers will talk from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on the mainland of Lagos, Nigeria. This event is a global event holding as a simulcast with the TEDWomen Conference that will be holding in New Orleans from 1st – 3rd November, #tedwomen conference, to be held in New Orleans from November 1-3.

“Truly, the Nigerian Women are creative, full of ideas and optimism. Follow us on this journey to connecting, engaging and sharing ideas worth spreading. There are 9 female Speakers and 1 male Speaker focusing on the Theme: “Yes, We Can Build Bridges”.

She explained that Tosin Adefeko PR Consultant and Vimbai Mutinhiri Zimbabwean actress, model and television personality will anchor the event while R&B Artiste KolaSoul, Yadinchima and others will perform.

The event is supported by House of Tara, The Lighthouse Network, Rock Salt Services, AiMultiMefia Academy, Omu Obilor Luxury Events, Senuel photography, Web n Walk, Melting Moments, ExpandPress Ltd, Indigo Printwears, Business Day, SabiNews and The Luxury Reporter.
