This is what the British royal family line of succession looks like With the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

 

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, Buckingham Palace said on Thursday. She was 96.

The Queen became the sixth female to ascend to the British throne in February 1952, after the death of her father, King George VI.

She was the longest-reigning monarch in British history, serving for over 70 years.

Prince Charles, the Queen’s oldest son, immediately ascends to the throne as King, putting his eldest son, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, first in line for the throne.
