Telenovela actor William Levy has been arrested on Intoxication & trespassing charges in Florida.
Glamtush reports that William Levy, 44-year-old actor and model, best known for acting in telenovelas and competing on Dancing With the Stars, was arrested on Monday (April 14) in Weston, Florida.
He was arrested in Weston, just west of Fort Lauderdale, on Monday. He was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication in a public place, causing a disturbance.
The actor, whose full name is William Gutiérrez-Levy, appeared in court on Tuesday, where his bond was set at $250 for each count, according to Miami’s ABC affiliate, WPLG.
Levy, who has been dubbed the Latino Brad Pitt, was named one of Hollywood’s Top 10 Latino actors and actresses by Variety in 2014, alongside movie powerhouses including Salma Hayek, John Leguizamo and Andy Garcia.
After appearing mainly on Spanish-language television, Levy became a nationally recognized figure in 2014, when he competed on the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars” — finishing in third place alongside his partner, Cheryl Burke.
He then had roles in hit American movies including “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” “Girls Trip” and Tyler Perry’s “The Single Moms Club.”
Last year, police responded to an alleged domestic dispute between William and his longtime partner Elizabeth Gutiérrez. Domestic disputes between them date back to October 2023.
