After donating $250,000 to kesha a few days ago, Taylor Swift has made yet another donation for a charitable cause.
This time, the singer donated the sum of $100,000 to fund the research of pediatric cancer via the 11th Annual Dick Vitale Gala.
The donation to The V Foundation was funded by sales of Taylor’s single, “Ronan,” a song she wrote about a 4-year-old boy who passed away in 2011 from childhood cancer, neuroblastoma.
Swift was inspired by reading a blog about the youngster and wrote the song to both honor his memory and raise funds of childhood cancer research.
Commenting on Taylor’s contribution, Dick Vitale, member of The V Foundation’s Board of Directors and sportscaster, “Taylor has a heart of gold, and due to her generosity, we are closer to meeting our goal this year to raise $2.5 million.”
